Form I-9: Employment Eligibility Verification
Federal law requires that every employer who recruits, refers for a fee, or hires an individual for employment in the U.S. must complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. UVC also participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with the Form I-9 information to confirm the authorization to work in the U.S.
The Form I-9 is completed by Team Members during the onboarding process in Dayforce and uses HireRight to verify employment eligibility through E-Verify. Team Members will now complete Section 1 of the form and then on the first day of employment, the hospital manager is able to review the original identification documents and complete Section 2 of the form in Dayforce (attached below). The employer section of the Form I-9 must be completed within three (3) days of the date of hire so it is important that the date is correct.
